School age Programs

In our unique program your child will learn about local flora and fauna, basic survival skills, ecosystems (including pond studies), environmental sustainability, animal husbandry & interaction, horticulture, seasonal shelter building, maple syrup making, outdoor sport and recreation, nature art and crafts, journaling & reflection, storytelling, community building and more, all within a nurturing and inclusive environment. There will be guided hikes and active times of games and exploration as part of every session. Frequently Asked Question:

Can my child attend for only one day?

We are happy to meet new children and introduce them to our programs.  As space and group dynamics allow, we can accommodate children for one day of participation.  This option must be booked within 24  (for prior students) or 48 (for new registrants) hours of the date the child wishes to attend, and is only available as space and group dynamics permit.   Space cannot be guaranteed week to week.

My child is in grade 5, which program should I choose?

Please use our Behavioural Safety Agreement to assist you in your decision making.
In addition to the content of the Behavioural Safety Agreement, parents should make an honest assessment of their child’s readiness to:
1. Positively contribute to group sharing circles by providing thoughtful and respectful responses and listening attentively to others
2. Refrain from disruptive behaviours during learning and sharing that hinder
group cohesion and readiness to move on to higher trust activities.
3. Be trusted during periods of independence to follow all safety, behavioural,
    and boundary expectations.
4. Be willing and safely prepared to spend 6 hours outdoors during each
    session, irrespective of weather.

My child has special needs, can they be accommodated?

If your child has special needs, please contact us directly to discuss their individual needs prior. to registering.
